Wish you could find some pics? Or hair?
This one’s for you. I think it’s in the spirit of the thread...Carole King and James Taylor of the Laurel Canyon Scene (early 70s).

I’m laughing over the Steven Tyler height debate as I’ve known people who’ve seen him who’ve said he was short. The google machine has him at 5’ 10” which isn’t that short but there are always pictures like this:

This post is, by no means, questioning whether anyone saw him in Laurel Canyon in the 70s. Nor do I know the height of the chick in this picture, she could be some famous amazon for all I know.

The average height for males a few decades was 5‘8“, suppose it be 5‘10“ now.

What the average female height in the US in 2019?

They should have interviewed Keith. Stanley Booth's book on the Stones has extended sections covering their 69 US tour in Stephen Stills's house in Laurel Canyon, which was their LA base during that tour. Lots of stuff about Gram Parsons who also lived in the Canyon for awhile.

Jim Morrison also lived there. Was anyone from the Doors interviewed?

This pic always makes me smile. What is Clapton thinking? Heh. He's just watching Joni's chord fingerings, I guess.

They seemed to be going for the earlier days of the Laurel Canyon scene, focusing on stuff like Beach Boys, Byrds, Mamas and Papas, stuff that was notably pre-psychedelic. So they weren't going to get much into the Doors or the Stones. During the Q and A at the screening that I saw, they kind of mentioned maybe doing a sequel, that could go down that path, but they didn't seem real serious about the idea. Although, I think it could make for an equally great film.

I'm wondering who the child is. Not Joni's I think. Her daughter was born in Canada and she didn't reconnect with her for many years. Imagine what the child saw.
It's fun to project but it looks to me that Clapton is simply trying to keep it together after too much of whatever Crosby is offering the photographer.

Actually, I dont think Fiona sat for an interview. I don't recall any comments from her, she basically appears singing on stage iirc. And I don't even think they show her full performance. Beck, Regina Spektor, Cat Power, and Jakob Dylan are all shown together briefly discussing the music of the 60s. By and large, the main interviewees are the people who were there. Crosby, McGuinn, Nash, Stills, Sebastian, Mama Michelle. It's a pretty great film. A minute or 2 of Beck is largely overshadowed by 60+ minutes of the 60s people talking, and the vintage clips, etc. Most people should dig this.
