If it weren’t for Gunsmoke, Daniel Boone, The Virginian, Rawhide, High Chaparal and the Tales of Wells Fargo I’d have little need for a tv. RIP, Mingo - a perfect sidekick for Daniel.
Actually, INSP mainly runs westerns and only has religious programming during the times other stations run infomercials.
The last time I saw Ed act, he guest starred on In the Heat Of the Night around 1989-90 as the racist Sheriff of a neighboring county. If you've never seen it, you should, his performance was unforgettable. RIP.
I remember discovering my dad’s LP of My Cup Runneth Over sometime in my 20s. Always loved Watch What Happens and this track. R.I.P
I didn't know he was alive! Primarily familiar with him due to his Christmas Record output, so I suppose I didn't know he was Jewish either.
Rest in peace. My Cup Runneth Over got no airplay that I recall up here, although I heard it later and it's a most enjoyable song. Who Will Answer, however, did, and it's interesting to say the least. I bought a comp just for those two, which is reason enough in my books ...
Collectables also twofered these 2 exact albums on one CD and also RCA issued the My Cup Runneth Over album as a standalone CD.
The entire series was also released on DVD in individual season sets about 15 years ago, followed by a more-recent complete-series box.
The wonderful thing that I see at Qobuz is that most of Ed's best albums are in hi-rez. I've saved them all to my favorites and so glad they're there so I can listen to them as often as I want.
Today I learned that he originated the role of Chief in the first Broadway production of "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest."
This is the album we had. My Mom loved all music and it is something I carry and share with her every day. I miss her dearly.
