Edie McClurg Has Been In Every TV Show And Movie You Ever Loved

Edie's role in "Cheech and Chong's Next Movie" is absolute gold for me.

Very sad about the dementia.

 

I believe the saying is:
...”fingernails on a blackboard.”

 

I don't remember her in WKRP at all, but then I haven't seen that show in 30 years. I do remember first seeing her in Carrie and saying "Hey, that's Mrs. Poole!"

 

Loved her in the “Real Families” episode of WKRP when a camera crew followed the Tarlek family around town for the day; her reactions were priceless...

Got to meet her briefly outside a Second City 50 event back in 2009; she’s as nice and lovely a person in real life as her typical characters were.

Glad to see her family’s trying to protect her but sad to hear she’s not doing so well...

 

Edie is from Kansas City and I never met her but I did Bowl in leagues with her father. He never bragged about her or even mentioned her unless somebody would ask him about her.
