Vote for Elt's best albums from the 70s and 80s. You can have up to 5 choices. If you want to vote for live albums, comps or things like 'The Thom Bell Sessions', which I think was classed as an EP, there's the 'Other' option.

I'm putting my money on either 'Victim Of Love' or 'Leather Jackets' as the eventual winner!:)

I'm more into the 70s Elton. My money would go on Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. He sure did great music !

    No 11-17-70? Nice record.

I'm expecting GYBR to win easily. I think the 70s half will certainly do better.

I didn't include the live stuff, but you can vote for it in 'Other' if you like.

Voted for Madman, Don't Shoot Me, GYBR, Captain and Westies, but probably spent more time with 11/17/70 than any of those.

Tumbleweed, Honky, Don't Shoot, Captain F, and 21 At 33 for me. They have the best songwriting and Elton's singing on all of them is stellar.

I know, what was I thinking. But I think Captain Fantastic really is one of his best. ;)

Side One of Captain Fantastic is a personal favorite but Goodbye Yellow Brick Road still amazes me. So much great music on one album.

    1. Goodbye Yellow Brick - top 3 albums of all time by anyone IMO
    2. Tumbleweed Connection
    3. Madman Across the Water
    4. Breaking Hearts
    5. Too Low For Zero

A little unfair to pit 70s vs. 80s...:) and I can't even vote for "Songs from the West Coast"!

My five selections in no particular order.
    Captain Fantastic
    Rock Of The Westies
    Honky Chateau
    Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
    Madman Across The Water
A great although enforced work ethic producing a magnificent run of albums up to the vast majority of Blue Moves.

Thought 'Too Low' might have done better... That was huge here. Nice choices, by the way.

VOL remains voteless. Such a cruel world

My very favorite of these are Tumbleweed and Brown Dirt Cowboy. I haven't heard many of the '80s albums.

They're better than their showing in the poll suggests.

Not to say, I don't like (and Have) all the other album, these show direction changes IMO. Also didn't "Don't Shoot Me" come after "Honkey Chateau"
