Elvis' '68 special: vertical lines on the screen

Anyone else noticing this?

I've played it on my computer and on my tv with a pretty good dvd player and I'm seeing vertical lines going down the screen. Faint line patterns on the screen.

I didn't notice them on the older release.

What gives?

 

So I'm not the only one who has noticed this then?

I've noticed it mostly in the first sitdown show.

The actual special didn't seem to have the problem.

I thought the video was going to be perfect; I couldn't believe it when I saw those lines.

Well at least the dvd's are good.
