    I honestly don't know. It sure would be cool.
    I'm at work about 75hrs a week, and get two weeks off a year... it's normally late season Destin (sept or oct) and the Christmas/New Year week... it makes it feel like two weeks :)

    Well, it is understandable. After all, FTD is including around 2 minutes of unreleased music to the existing, previously released music. It is a major project. ;)

    Where has the email come from. I saw a report on another forum that someone had received their copy in Europe a couple of days ago. When they state expected shipping date of April 19th, is that from FTD to them or from them to the end customer.

    Just a quick follow up, I did go back and and play the Atlanta 12/30/1976 show in a more focused setting (not chatting w/ my buddy at the same time). There is a very appealing quality to the tape in terms of the sound and audience mix. It may not have a great ambiance, but there is an ambiance, which is notable since so many of the tapes are very sterile. The show itself is good. Sure Elvis comes out sounding kinda f'ed up and and talking about having just woken up, but he sounds like he's having fun and the show sounds much less canned and on autopilot than I would expect. Also, some nice setlist changeups here from what I am used to hearing again and again. Why this was buried on disc 3 of a book bound set I can't guess at all. Hopefully it gets a wider release at some point. This is a show I would actually go back and play again.

    My email came from ShopElvis.com. Also wonder if it's a pressing issue, because I have an order from Omnivore Recordings for a Buck Owens release that is delayed as well. Possible same CD press? No idea, could be separate issues.

    It is unclear if the Atlanta tape comes from the Jackson estate, or if it is from the FTD/Sony archives. The speculation is that FTD made some sort of distribution deal with the Jackson estate and took its unsold stash of books and sold it through FTD (essentially guaranteeing a sell-out) in exchange for a tape from Jackson's archive. Who knows if it is true. And if it is true, why another 1976 concert of all things? The other 1976 concert is from FTD's collection of soundboards. Maybe the Atlanta show will receive a wider release at some point in the future.

    From what I read elsewhere from someone with decent inside information (he was the first person to mention the existence of a soundboard from Sept '70, LV, years ago), as it stands the Atlanta concert is all anyone will be hearing from the Jackson archive. Whether that's because the rest is simply copies of tapes FTD already have or the deal only covered the Atlanta show to shift unsold copies of the book, he hasn't said.

    Heard the Atlanta show once and thats enough....mainly due to poor sound quality.

    Yeah, I heard bits online when it was first released and thought it sounded pretty ropey for a soundboard. I tend to avoid live shows from 1976 anyway, although I did play a few tracks from the Minnesota FTD last night. Even the "better" ones, I find sad to listen to.

    I completely agree with POB.

    What I do know is, I too, fell for the shenanigans regarding this label and dipped twice to purchase product from them. I choose to defend and be loyal to FTD.

    As soon as Sony Legacy releases product on Elvis, you can be sure that MRS will follow suit with it's, supposed, Own version and they're full of stuff.

    It is totally clear;

    OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: COMING IN FALL VIA FTD
    "FTD will be making Gary Jackson's book, 'Bruce Jackson On the Road with Elvis' available with a 3CD set, comprising a companion audio documentary hosted by me, plus a soundboard recording of the Sioux Falls concert on October 18, 1976, and - for the first time ever - a soundboard from Bruce’s own collection ... Atlanta December 30, 1976. Check out the promo videos.

    Many thanks to Gary, as well as Ernst at Follow That Dream for allowing this to be possible.

    I'm so thrilled to be a part of this!" - DJ Jack Mullins

    Its a well known fact FTD didnt have the the Atlanta tape. For whatever reason, another 1976 was added, one can assume the october 18, 1976 was neither available, but in private hands, the Jackson family. Also, this will be a one-time collaboration.
