Euro Horror recommendations

    Yeah, I have the Bell from Hell DVD, and it's not exactly hi-def. :D

    Mind you, we live in times where people turn their noses up at DVD quality anything, so what chance does it have?

    I've thought that Phenomena could have been a good third Mother film. There was the female antagonist already in the picture, a little different edit and there you go.

    I think it would be a toss-up between Mother of Tears and Dracula for the all-time worst Argento film... both are unbelievably awful to the point of being nearly unwatchable. It's hard to believe they were done by the same filmmaker who gave us Suspiria, Deep Red, Tenebre, etc...

    I'd add Phantom of the Opera to that list - it has some truly awful performances that apparently passed muster. Also, he had the affront to make a film called "Giallo", with a weird Rambo puppet type guy in it. :D

    I was a fan of "The Strange Colour of Your Body's Tears", a giallo homage from 2013. Really good visuals, and that vague, trippy aspect from that era.
