PS, they haven't posted any signs except a TINY one behind the counter. They'll ring up at 30%, then take the discount manually.

 

Typical scam: The 10% comes off the reduced price, so it's really 7%, or a total of 37% off. That's OK, but the discount intentionally misleads the mathematically-challenged.

Mm, that's a fair point - hadn't considered it. I'll take 37%, though, and go on being mathematically challenged.

 

I got an email coupon for this yesterday. I haven't been to my nearest Tower in 3 weeks...I'll go today but I have no illusions that I'll actually find something I want. The whole thing makes me very sad...I'm losing a part of my record-loving life.

 

I'll be in NYC the first week of December- I hope a) the store is still open; and b) there's something left worth buying...

 

The Lincoln Center one will be open longer than the Village one, I suspect. I wouldn't give the Village Tower more than a few weeks longer, based on inventory.
