  2. Thanks for the link.

I've been looking for this one a long time, so I will try to bid this time.

    Probably my most treasured disc!

    Well worth the money Roland!

Ken, do you own the Japanese 35DP 4 disc?

Just the Japan for USA version I'm selling. I'll probably regret it... but then the quest will continue to find another one in the bins :)

I assumed he meant the Japan for Japan version.

    Same mastering.

    :agree: I did.

How do you know for sure if you've never heard the 35DP 4? I can't even make this claim myself because I haven't heard the US. 2 track pressing yet.

It only means it was sourced from the same master as the 35DP 4. It doesn't mean they sound exactly the same, but there's a possibility they do.

There's a few people on here who have both. Maybe they could comment?

They have to sound the same. The two CDs are from the same pressing. They just have different paint jobs on the label side.

That's the assumption I was making.

I suppose it's wrong to assume.

(There's an old joke about that :) )

Like I mentioned Kevin, there's a possibility that they indeed do. However, I find it a little presumptuous claiming such if you haven't heard and compared them. All it would take is for myself or someone whose ears I trust 100% like Steve's, Gort Gary, pig whisperer etc. to say they exactly sound the same and I'd be a believer. So far this has never happened yet to my knowledge.

Does the Japan USA 2-track have the "CK" number in the matrix as well?

No CK in the matrix. Not in mine anyway.

Sheesh! That was one helluv-an experience. I haven't heard the 2-track version since I was 15. It better be the Holy Grail! I'm really, really hoping that the Japan for Japan is the same disc. Just call me Indiana Jones from now on...GULP!;)

Wow, that's some serious coin! The highest I've seen the 35DP go is like $285 or something and that was the Japan for Japan...dyum!
