"Failure Is Not an Option"

Looking forward to this documentary on the History Channel this evening, 9 p.m. It's based on the book written by Gene Kranz, NASA flight director during the wonder years of the Gemini and Apollo space missions, and focuses on the behind-the-scenes engineers who made it happen. An excerpt from the narration: "The young men who came to Mission Control in the '60's live in an engineer's paradise: intense, high-tech, competitive and insulated. Outside, an American cultural revolution will soon begin brewing. As the '60's unfold, Mission Control will be many things. One thing it will never be is hip".
