Looking forward to this documentary on the History Channel this evening, 9 p.m. It's based on the book written by Gene Kranz, NASA flight director during the wonder years of the Gemini and Apollo space missions, and focuses on the behind-the-scenes engineers who made it happen. An excerpt from the narration: "The young men who came to Mission Control in the '60's live in an engineer's paradise: intense, high-tech, competitive and insulated. Outside, an American cultural revolution will soon begin brewing. As the '60's unfold, Mission Control will be many things. One thing it will never be is hip". Jim W.
That was a GREAT special. I need to see when the History channel will be rerunning it, as I forgot to tape it. Mikey
