I’ve only once properly sat down and listened to “London Calling” in full.

    Sorry.

Radiohead Kid A .... I may listen to it again, but my first listen found it to be a snooze fest ... I know some folks think it's the best album ever made, but I just found it to be boring ... perhaps another listen will change that opinion, or perhaps it will be the last chance it gets

Several Beach Boys albums. I *R*E*A*L*L*Y* don't hear what is so special about them.

    Which ones?

  11. These are famous albums I remember having played once from start to finish and never again:

John Lennon - Plastic Ono Band
John Lennon - ImagineYoko Ono - Plastic Ono Band
John & Yoko - Some Time In New York City
The Sex Pistols - Never Mind The Bollocks
    Love - Forever Changes
The Beach Boys - That's Why God Made The Radio
    Queen - Live Killers
David Bowie - Blackstar (well done but depressing)

I'm sure there are others, plus numerous famous albums I wasn't able to sit through even once.

I couldn't even make it the whole way through, never mind it was only a fiver. Had to check it out to see what the fuss was about, took me around thirty five years to get around to it though.

I tried many times before I finally managed to do it. But only once.

This one comes to mind, from the last few years:

    (Taylor Swift)

Ironically it wasn't a streaming listen, as is usually the case with these things - not sure where I listened to it, maybe YT or maybe I torrented it. Wasn't really my thing but I did give it a one pass.

Yep. Once to say I did it. So I could have an informed opinion as to what constitutes “that hour of my life I’ll never get back.”

Yeah, I think I've done the same. I love everything before those albums (yep, even Pablo Honey) and really, really, really like everything after those albums (yep, even King of Limbs) but I never gave those two supposed classics (or the live album that consists of tunes from those two albums) much of a chance.

I love this album, but yeah, it's not an album where its charms just leap out at you on first listen.

Odelay by Beck. That was once too often.

That Ryan Adams album with him standing in front of the flag was another one I sat thru' once, though I was dying for it to end long before it actually did.

Leonard Cohen's first two or three albums. Just can't do it, sorry. I don't find them depressing so much as ... drab.
