Some Pink Floyd... Picture 1 is a mixture of both official available covers. This is a drawing I found on the web which I melted together with the 1996 Relics logo. Picture 2: I designed it for a compilation of tracks from 1965-1967. The liquid light show pic is a screenshot from a video. Coincidently I made this just a few days before the announcement of the official big Early Years box set.
I'm curious to see what you can do with Pet Sounds, since most people feel the cover doesn't match the album.
Hmm I don't know. I mean, to me the Pet Sounds cover matches good to the music. Maybe another shot from the zoo photo session?
I don't know; cheesy? I think even the liner notes of the '00 or '01 reissue said that the cover probably turned off hippie types who otherwise would've listened.
Not only are you obviously talented, you're fast, to boot! I know the album is a concept of sorts (a boy growing up, I think?) - anything in that vein?
Thank you! I really have thousands of ideas while I'm busy with a sleeve. Also, maybe because I have two PC monitors running.^^
I like the out of focus effect behind the group portraits. Very moody. Personally I would prefer this one now.
Charlie might not've been so thrilled about this one, being hidden behind the candle and all. Still, a cool cover. Now this one would have to be changed to "...Phenomenal R&B Combo" or I'm sure the band would've had a fit!
I knew most of the facts previously. But the story behind the complete Pet Sounds sessions is really interesting. Love it!
Thank you! Unfortunately I couldn't find a better photo for it. It's the only one where all members fit good in a squared/cropped picture. All other photos from that session are only usefull for a gatefold placement inside.
Great work guys, I'm LOVING The Beatles and Stones ones. I have a request: The White Album released as A Dolls House.
