That would be Against All Odds with Jeff Bridges, Rachel Ward, and James Woods playing the Mitchum, Greer , and Douglas characters. The re-make is OK, but I agree Out Of the Past is one of the better noir movies of that era.
I was just watching the 1941 film, “Sergeant York,” starring Gary Cooper and Joan Leslie. When she first came on the screen, I stopped doing everything else and just stared. I said “Wow!” about seven times, outloud. Joan Leslie 1925–2015 Professionally Active: 1934–1991 High Sierra Sergeant York Yankee Doodle Dandy
Great as the lil sister-& Dennis Morgan's love in 'The Hard Way' but (& I know this is irrational) I've never really forgiven her for encouraging but then rejecting Roy Earle (Humprey Bogart) in 'High Sierra'.
Nice pic of Evelyn Keyes. Loved her in the '1000 and One Nights'. Didn't know she was in 'Seven Year Itch'-will have to see that again.
I especially liked Ida Lupino when she went off in They Drive by Night about Jim Morrison, Ray, John and Robbie:
It is Karen Morley. You’re wasting your time asking for captions from this user. He’s been asked politely multiple times, but he still refuses to do it.
Just saw Naked Alibi. Fantastic Noir movie and Gloria Grahame totally steals it. I have a dim memory of her from 'In a Lonely Place' - I will need to go watch that again. Peep those gams too...
