Amazing year! I have to go with what is my favorite Ramones album. They also followed this with the phenomenal Rocket to Russia in the same year!

"Shes Just An Old Love Turned Memory" by Charley Pride was released on RCA Victor in 1977.

The single 'A Whole Lotta Things To Sing About' became an instant fan favorite, serving as Charley's opening song in his sets for several years.

Last week I thought it was Low; I was in error - it Brian Eno's Before and After Science.

Side 1 moves and is mostly very funny - Eno writes witty lyrics.
Side 2 floats downstream and, especially on Julie With.... is very sensual.

    One for the ages.

The forty pictured studio albums were my pool from which I chose. There's at least another 12 that are engaging from start to finish.

Yes agreed although not sure it could have been a double. Tom had the songs but I am not sure they recorded other material at the sessions. Would have been great if some older songs had got a studio recording - things like Double Exposure etc and they could have been used as b sides.

IMO, 1977 was the best year since 1969 in terms of the number of 'perfect 10 essential' lp's released.

Wow, lots of great albums listed so far, but if I have to pick just one, it's gotta be The Heartbreakers L.A.M.F....
