For some reason I always liked this one, had to look a bit since I misremembered who it was (this 7" long lost, thought it was by the Mood 6!) and now have learned Jim Jarmush was in this band...
I'm quite partial to Linda Ronstadt's version of Blue Bayou (even though I love the Orbison original), but can't think of others at the moment.

Hendrix's Voodoo Chile covered by Winwood/Clapton at 2010 Crossroads Festival outside Chicago. Great youtube video which rekindled my interest in Hendrix. It really is a tribute to Hendrix not least for the fact Winwood played on the original from Electric Ladyland. Clapton puts his own style on the guitar solos, Willie Weeks handles the bass, Steve Gadd (great jazz drummer ike Mitch) on drums and the background singers are stellar. If you like the song and havn't seen this video, please watch. There's also a version from Crossroads 2008 at MSG that is a little longer (16 min). For a Slightly different style, All Them Witches have a great cover of the song also.
