Cut off from all civilization then!?!?
Nice part of the country.
Miami Beach Convention Center, FLA 11/25, 26/71....
Miami Beach in November....Pete looks tan.
Silver boiler suit - me likey
his flying looks so effortless
You never see that anymore - jeans with a pressed crease down the middle.
Cooooool! I'm envious, you bet! Where was that? I've always wondered...
You never see men dressed this way anymore either.......
I am thinking of that photo of him standing by his wardrobe case backstage now.
45 years tonight. The Who performing at International Amphitheater in Chicago, Ill. on Nov. 29th, 1973.
KB Hallen in Copenhagen, Denmark, September 25th, 1965
They were still snappy dressers in 1965. The rot had set in by 1969 though (see pics above)
Is this the tour that Roger spoke of when amphetamines were popular with Pete, John and especially Keith.
I bumped into Pete - literally - in LA some years back by chance.
I laughed when I saw who it was, and we ended up talking - found him to be an absolutely wonderful guy.
I love these photos of great / hugely popular groups in the 70s set up with their amps and drums on the floor and just a few monitors. The music was so good they didn't need any special effects, pyro, gimmicks etc. I've seen wedding bands in recent years with more complex set-ups (but maybe not the wattage). I was 8th row center for this show. A great night - thanks for sharing.
Yeah, I worked with him a lot in 1984-86. I really great guy, nice and smart. I liked him..
I saw this one when I was 13. I thought "what the hell?".
I know, that was my reaction too!
Who are all those women?
What on earth is going on?
Why did they wreck that room?
What is in that guy's pants?
Especially being 13.
In the same issue there was also a picture (taken by the same photographer) of Iggy Pop naked (and not cropped as it is on the "Nude and Rude" compilation, you see it all). Heck, I didn't even know what circumcision was at the time
