David Seville (Ross Bagdasarian) with his "Witch Doctor" song, led to the concept and creation of The Chipmunks with his sped up tape of his vocals later in that same year the "Witch Doctor" was released in 1958.

Thanks, I knew he had done another novelty song that I liked as a kid and this is it! "Oo-Ee-Oo-Ah-Ah, Ting-Tang-Wallah-Wallah-Bing-Bang!" ...I just did that from memory, without listening to the clip! I used to sing it all the time.

    I'm thinking of a few:
"The Pokey Little Puppy" from my youth
    "Undercover Angel" by Alan O'Day
"I Think I'm Going Bald" by Rush
and of course we gotta include The Beatles: "You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)" and "Her Majesty" (not as silly but oh so cheeky)
No takers for the Macarena? :hide:

One of my most favoritest songs since forever is actually kind of silly, listen to the Monterey crowd chuckle along.

waltzing with bears- written by Dr. Suess
Irish singer Tommy Makem did a version.

the unicorn- written by Shel Silverstein. the Irish rovers did a version.

I remember the irish rover version as a small kid growing up in Chicago. a local show would play the song during segments when dr. Lester Fisher from the Lincoln Park Zoo would talk about animals.
