Favorite silliest song ever

When I was kid "The Streak" by Ray Stevens made me laugh.

 

Another really popular song from my childhood:

"Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah" by Alan Sherman (1963)

 

I first heard this song via a b-side by Elvis Costello.

David Seville (Ross Bagdasarian) with his "Witch Doctor" song, led to the concept and creation of The Chipmunks with his sped up tape of his vocals later in that same year the "Witch Doctor" was released in 1958.

 

I used to love this song as a little kid.

Thanks, I knew he had done another novelty song that I liked as a kid and this is it! "Oo-Ee-Oo-Ah-Ah, Ting-Tang-Wallah-Wallah-Bing-Bang!" ...I just did that from memory, without listening to the clip! I used to sing it all the time.

murder was 1940's slang for excellent. i read that it an article about the song. killer-diller and Dracula were other sayings at thar time for excellent.

One of my most favoritest songs since forever is actually kind of silly, listen to the Monterey crowd chuckle along.

the unicorn- written by Shel Silverstein. the Irish rovers did a version.

I remember the irish rover version as a small kid growing up in Chicago. a local show would play the song during segments when dr. Lester Fisher from the Lincoln Park Zoo would talk about animals.
