It was a "Franken & Davis Show" segment from about 1978. Al appeared as Pete Tagliani and Tom was Winfield Adcock, both running for congress in a parody of political mudslinging commercials. I was on the floor!

    Richard Pryor & Chevy Chase.

Do I even need to specify which sketch?

Gilda Radner has always been my favorite cast member, and nobody has ever charmed me more. This skit really shows off her physical comedy skills. (This is the only video I could find of it - of course the left side of the screen is the "skit".)

"We're wearing our tight slacks with our bulges, looking for American girls with their huge American breasts!" Man, what a funny bit. They tried for years and years to get Steve Martin interested in doing a feature version of that sketch, but he correctly said, "it's maybe funny for 7-8 minutes, and then it's just annoying."

And I just thought of that, too. "Mr. Potter! You stupid son of a bitch!"

That's another one that we quoted from for years and years and years. Dana Carvey killed it with his dead-on impression of Jimmy Stewart.

    Honky-honky!

I remember Gilda died on a Saturday and Steve Martin was hosting the show that night. He showed that skit and broke down.

Bill Murray fixing a fridge with his crack showing and Gilda and Dan can barely hold their laughter.

Billy Crystal as Muhammad Ali and Martin Short as Katherine Hepburn in a “Kate and Allie” spoof.

Dana Carvey as Ross Perot and Phil Hartman as VP running mate Admiral Stockdale.

And Phil Hartman imitating Phil Donahue.

Couldn't find the video anywhere, but the sketch with the Brady Bunch and Partridge family was one of the great SNL parodies of all time. It was from the 1992 season. Adam Sandler playing Peter Brady with his cracked voice as hilarious.

Not really a fan of the newer SNL seasons/cast but loved Vanessa Bayer's "Rachel Green" Friends impersonation (starts at about the 3:20 mark in the video)

Dan Aykroyd was fixing the fridge (it bothers me a little that I can remember it so clearly). Bill was laughing with Gilda in their Todd and Lisa characters.

I always liked "WALKING AFTER MIDNIGHT (WING TIPS)" but heck if I can find a video of it. Anyone remember it? Jim Belushi & Rich Hall.

Also loved the Eddie Murphy white man skit.
