Rupert Holmes "Town Square/"The Old School" medley is beautiful, in my opinion ...

Andrew Gold's "All This & Heaven Too" is smooth and warm.

Here are a few tasty cuts ...

Flashback Mike agrees with me, that Michael Johnson's great album track, "Doors", is a lost possible 70's smash ...

This song by Jackie DeShannon is a favorite of mine from 1975, it got some play on my local easy listening station back then but did not place highly on the Billboard chart. It definitely has a vibe of gentle warmth...."Let the Sailors Dance".

I grew up in the 1960s when rock n roll was rock n roll.

The 1970s to me were dull and boring.Zzzzzzzzzz...

The 1970s were the 60s hangover.

Until of course the arrival of the Sex Pistols & Elvis Costello.

Music that was flowing and did not put you to sleep for me would be Fleetwood Mac (1975),Rumours& Tusk.

And of course Carol King Tapestry LP.

Always loved the vibe of Ian Gomm's "Hold On".

Hugely warm and toasty. Karen Carpenter in the best vocal form of her life.

I primarily mean the song, but the album fits the bill too. One of her strongest of the seventies. The mixture of ballads, well chosen covers and faux country is exquisite.:)

I was beaten to the punch on Rundgren.

I’d also like to add “Deacon Blues.” Doesn’t get much warmer than this (or “cooler,” depending on how you look at it :p).
