Side 1 of John Barleycorn must die. Traffic. Glad/Freedom rider/Empty pages. Imo there is no breaking up these 3 songs. Side 2 isn't chopped liver either.

Doing the Queen thread I was reminded what a great run of songs starts off the News Of The World Album

    We Will Rock You
    We Are The Champions
    Sheer Heart Attack

There are many many favourite triple track runs in my collection , but that is a really good run of songs

Rod Stewart - A Spanner in the Works ...this album bought my my older brother went on heavy rotation in my beloved Technics discman for a while due this 3 songs back in 1995...it was long influenced by Rod's renewed success by the 'Mtv - Unplugged and Seated' Album

Windy Town - written by Chris Rea
The Downtown Ligts - by The Blue Nile and also a cover by Annie Lennox
Leave Virginia Alone - written by Tom Petty

If you overlooked this one, take a listen at Spotify.

Of course you can't beat 1-2-3 by U2's The Joshua Tree, but 'War' (1983) has 'Sunday Bloody Sunday', 'Seconds' & 'New Year's Day' and they're fluent amazingly...Also I Like Coldplay's Parachutes: 'Don't Panic', 'Shiver' & 'Spies', Placebo's Sleeping With Ghosts: 'Bullet Proof Cupid','English Summer Rain' & 'This Picture', The Outfield's Play Deep: 'Say It Isn't So', 'Your Love', 'I Don't Need Her', George Michael's Faith: 'Faith', 'Father Figure' & 'I Want Your Sex', JRNY's Scape: 'Don't Stop Believin', Stone in Love', 'Who's Crying Now'...Simple Minds' New Gold Dream: Someone, Somewhere, Summertime, Colors Fly & Catherine Wheel, Promised You A Miracle, etc, etc, God How many good music!

    Great choice.
Impossible to drop Windy Town from that trio but the fourth track on that album is a favourite too..great vocal and guitar solo on a version of Dylan's A sweetheart like you.
