    Donnie Brasco very underrated imo.

I think Donnie Brasco was his last great movie performance. Danny Collins was good, but not great IMO. I can't think of anything else since Brasco that I would even consider really good (movies, that is. Some of his HBO work has been very good.)

I like The Humbling which is a humble movie least production values in comparison to Brasco..also Stand Up Guys( though that’s a ensemble cast).

I hadn't seen Stand Up Guys. I heard about it a few years after it came out, and I usually avoid movies that have more than one great actor but are not well known. They usually are terrible (case in point, the movie with Pacino and Anthony Hopkins). I just watched it today. Very good performances but the movie overall wasn't great. Also disappointed Alan Arkin had so little screen time.

Well it was a Al Pacino film. Nice also to see Chris Walken in it. Like him in Seven Psychopaths.

Definitely one of the biggest travesties ever. I'd have a hard time finding many lead acting performances in film better than Pacino's in GFII.

Agreed, it was Pacino's most disciplined performance and that's saying something.

Some of his best acting in that film is when he is not even speaking. Just his mannerisms and facial expressions during the scene with the Senator early in the film (when Michael eventually offers him nothing for the gaming license) and then later when Hyman Roth is telling the Moe Greene story are off the charts fantastic.

Indeed, perhaps the greatest acting comes after the senate hearing in the hotel with Diane Keaton. He goes from a concerned husband committed to marriage to learning about the abortion with his eyes as big as saucers and then lashes out with anger and hatred.

About to watch Serpico. One of his best performances to me - and the one probably the closest to his own persona.

Just saw it a couple of weeks ago, amazing performance, he also had a great cast in that movie staring with Mr De Niro.

His performance and supporting cast was just as good if not better in Glengarry Glen Ross. The Ricky Roma character blew me away, particularly the scam he was running with Shelley Levine and his tirade at the Williamson office manager.
