Mine too. Really nice sound on that 70s vinyl!

They are a number of truly excellent albums, but, without hesitation, I'd choose...

    ~"The Complete Sun Sessions"

He soared gloriously upon take-off & while single tracks reaches those heights again, no other album/sessions produced anything at that rarified level again. The earlier RCA work comes closest.

I love every Elvis album I own. He never fell out of favour for me in the slightest. I think I love every phase of his work too in different ways.

if I could only have one Elvis album it might be his debut. But I would struggle not having Elvis is Back! and From Elvis in Memphis.

At present I have my eyes out for the 24 Karat thing that Analogue Productions did. They did such a great job on Buddy Holly’s album that I really want to hear it. But I’m based in ireland and getting this in Europe is so pricey.

Hoping for a bunch more to hit the market post this movie that’s out.

Oh and the Stax stuff that came out a few years ago was great. Loved all that.

I think I’ll pop on The Complete Sun Sessions later now. I really miss Elvis!

Yes - I always reccommend this to newbies. A "missing" period almost, not Rock N Roll, not yet all movies. A brilliant collection of Elvis as pop star and the voice is silky smooth. One of his peak periods for me.

Absolutely - The 60s box was my first big Elvis purchase back in the 90s. Then the 50s, then 70s, then the albums, gospel, FTD, movies, live...
