Easily in my top 10 films, criminally underrated.

I'm a total THE WIRE fanboy. This scene is when the "rip-and-run" stickboy boy Omar Little -- who robs drug dealers who can't exactly complain to the police -- raids a high-stakes poker game that includes an up and coming kingpin, the cold and calculating Marlo Stanfield. Omar has some of the best lines ever written for a character:

In a movie chock full of great scenes, this is one of my favorites..."if the rule you followed brought you to this, of what use was the rule?"

Ida Lupino singing "One for My Baby" in Roadhouse. Though her voice is not great, it is perfect! She's apparently really playing too, if you watch closely. And it's the first time she actually sang in a movie - other times a singer dubbed over her voice.
