Manhattan, of course. Also known as the movie that most people want me to condemn or else there is something wrong with me.

I absolutely adore Everyone Says I Love You - easily my favourite. The dance scene in Paris with Woody and Goldie Hawn toward the end of the film is one of the most beautiful scenes ever captured on celluloid. Of the rest, in no particular order: Crimes and Misdemeanors Hannah and Her Sisters Broadway Danny Rose Manhattan Annie Hall Melinda and Melinda Match Point (an excellent loose adaptation of Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment). I can well understand the antipathy to Manhattan given wider events but, judged purely on its merits, it is brilliant. On the whole I have enjoyed all of Allen's work. Even Whatever Works, which I was not thrilled by when it was released, I watched again recently and it was rather better at second viewing.

With some exceptions I seem to favor the movies he made from 2000 and after.. Whatever Works Match Point Scoop Hannah and Her Sisters Anything Else A Rainy Day in New York Vicky Cristina Barcelona To Rome with Love Magic in the Moonlight
Yeah and the ones I don't like are often not because I find them bad. For instance Blue Jasmine. Many regard that one highly. Cate Blanchett was terrific. Just too depressing for me.
Interiors Crimes And Misdemeanours Take The Money And Run Blue Jasmine Annie Hall Love & Death Husbands & Wives Cassandra‘s Dream Bananas Hannah And Her Sisters
My favorites: Hannah and Her Sisters Broadway Danny Rose Radio Days Take the Money and Run Play it Again Sam
Have not seen too many of his more recent films but I would agree with: Annie Hall, Zelig, Broadway Danny Rose, Hannah and Her Sisters
Roughly in order of preference... Annie Hall Sleeper Broadway Danny Rose Radio Days Zelig Midnight in Paris
