As long as you get them NM, as described, you did a killer job!

about a month ago I bought one of these on ebay. I paid $260 and felt it was a good deal. The case was beat up a bit, but the vinyl and jackets were pretty much flawless. Your case looks in better shape than mine. So I would say you got a wonderful deal. Its pretty awesome when you first open it up and see all of those albums in such great condition in one spot. You'll love this set!

I'd say you got one helluva deal! That's how much I payed for mine, and believe me, it was money well spent.

Not bad for a set the wasn't listed as "stunning"

Is that the mono box? If so, I'd say you did a damn sight better than OK. :D

No. The blue box is stereo, the red box is mono.

Thanks. The box looked black in the pics, and my memory's a little wonky. :)
    Either way, congrats!

Now for my own knowledge, why is that box black? Aren't these sets the "Blue Box"?

The black box is the BM1 box set. It's the mono LP's, minus the "Abbey Road" and "Let It Be"!

BTW, there is one on e-bay, I usually see it go for more!

    BM1 Box!

The black box is indeed the mono BM1 box set, pressed by EMI in the UK for export abroad. The red box Sean refers to is also a mono set but made for the UK market only (BMC10).

I got mine about a year sgo. Basically stone cold mint. $225, and I thought I got a great deal! You got an outstanding deal. Look at those Japanese reissues and digital at that. Now, if i could only fine Die Beatles........................

Got my box today! The vinyl is perfect so I'd say his near mint description was right on, it's pristine. The box itself is perfect other than a couple of small scuffs & a very small tear where the flap folds down. Nothing that really bothers me.

Now here's a question. Should these be stored any special way?

Yeah, you can store it at my house!

I don't think you have to store them any special way, I have my LP's in the box and the box stored with other LP's in a LP box. Then again you my want to show the box off.

BTW, I'm glad everything worked out for you, you are really going to enjoy the sound of these records.
