How is Final Frontier? I had the picture vinyl when it came and tried to like it. I sold it in a pissed-off huff because of surface noise. I remember liking the songs..

Your inquiry made me listen to it. It sounds great, detailed and thick! I have black vinyl. No noise.

They tweeted about Donington `92 again.Maybe this will be reissued for Record Store Day or something?
People also commented they preferred Donington`88.

Finally got Brave New World, EU pressing. Happy to see CB in the deadwax, for some reason I thought this pressing didn’t have the CB in the deadwax?

I haven’t played it yet, will do so later tonight. The cover got roughed up in shipping, bent corners and a pushed in spine, so I’m not happy about that. Will request an exchange with Amazon.

The LPs are pristine looking, so that’s good. Will report back later.

From my foggy memory I thought the US RSD is the one without CB and the reissue has it.

Thought so, but a few pages back someone stated their reissue Of BNW had no CB but MPO in the deadwax. Which pressing is that?

Oh I guess the MPO is the US version.

I think EU was optimal on some and mpo for US.
Can't remember. I'll check both my copies ... If I remember haha

Wow, so far BNW is really impressive on vinyl. Right off the bat it’s noticeably better than the CD. Instruments are more layered and distinctive. All the subtle guitar parts come through much clearer compared with the CD.

You guys were most definitely correct on that one! Just finished and it’s a beautiful pressing. Really bummed about the cover but Amazon just confirmed they are shipping out a new one. I’m keeping the LPs though from this set as they are flawless, I’ll just swap out the covers.

Next up will be AMOLAD, the Debut, Piece Of Mind and Seventh Son.

I love all the new reissues. NPFTD is the only one that isn’t stellar.

That would be interesting as it's got a really nice album cover. I understand it's not one of their better live offerings, however.

Nice to see this thread unfold and you guys are really tempting me with all those beautiful pics. I own what for my taste are the most essential Maiden albums, and had sort of convinced myself that there really is no case for expanding on them, in light of how little play these albums get (I have a busy job, a young family, and too much noise in the house already to really dig into my louder albums). However, all those wonderful pics and rave reviews are tempting me nonetheless. You guys...

Listening to Rock in Rio in the car today. Traffic was terrible but this album softened the blow

From the new series i purchased '1990 -2015 box', 'The X Factor', 'Virtual XI', 'BNW', 'DOD', 'AMOLOD'. I'd like to get 'The Final Frontier' as well. Have the pic disc and cd for that one but interested to hear it on black vinyl.

As for the live albums the cd versions will suffice. 'Flight 666' I have on pic disc but it sounds great.
