I thought it was a lot of fun. The whole audience (only about 25-30) seemed to like it at my showing. There was applause at the end, and I didn't even see anyone leave before sticking around to watch the "behind the scenes" featurette that ran afterwards. Jonathan Pryce was great. As I was walking out, I heard more than one person comment (talking about the one-off showing) that they wanted to see it again. No way would a standard audience make it through this, but I think Terry Gilliam fans will really like it.

Amazon listed a Blu-Ray release date of June 4th USA, but the link is down currently. It's up and available for Streaming.

I wouldn't pay that much for it. I checked it out for free from my local county library and still felt ripped off. Just plain terrible.

I think I see your point and no, not many of his films that I've seen have I liked. Off the top of my head, I'd say Brazil, Fisher King and Time Bandits.

Thanks, that helps give me perspective on your opinion. I was hoping for something on the level with those films.

I finally watched this a couple months back, it was one of my favorite films of last year. The leads were terrific.

It was released on 2018, but it was a limited release, as you can see around this forum not many have seen it. Perhaps they are doing selective new releases.

I finally got around to watching the blu ray the other night. I think if your a Gilliam fan its a must see. Pryce is great.
There is a lot of what you would expect -- a creative/imaginative journey that is never boring. A few plot points that I thought were brilliant. However, I thought is was a few steps shy of being in the same league with say Time Bandits or The Fisher King. In fact, I did not enjoy it as much as Parnassus or The Brothers Grimm, but those films I have seen multiple times. This one requires another viewing for sure.

If figured that goes without saying. The Zero Theorem was a disaster AND boring. This film is always entertaining.

It's kinda arguable that Jean-Pierre Junet 'out-Terry Gilliamed' Terry Gilliam!
    With the films:
    -Delicatessen
    -City Of Lost Children
    and
    -Mic-Macs
I you haven't seen 'em, do yourself a favor!

Agreed, but I haven't kept up. Love "Lost Children" but I have to check out Mic-Macs.
