The first season of “Leftovers” is very good. The second and third become far more esoteric. They’re still good, but stray far from the plot line of the first season which is based on the book.

Yeah, it takes a bit for the true storyline of “Justified” to gel, but it’s worth the wait.

I second all the love for Justified. I really liked SoA, but Justified is another level or two above that imo. So many classic lines!

And Walton Goggins was a revelation.

Great to see him on Big Bang Theory last night. Not his greatest role (that show has been headed down for years), but always glad to see him. I was absolutely floored to see him as a Transgender in SoA. LMAO!

I think his current project Vice Principals is just OK; that role is beneath him imo. But I have no prob w/ an actor paying the bills. Can't all be top-notch.

I'm just getting into the 2nd season of Stranger Things right now.

I think sometime ago the creative crew watched The Goonies, and said..."Yeah, it's iconic and all, but...no matter how much people who haven't seen it, say that's what we're doin'? Nah - that ain't nowhere near what we're doin'".

I always wanted to make it Walter too, but it's Walton.

Walton Goggins Teases Villainous Role In New 'Tomb Raider' Movie

I recognized him right away. I must have a man-crush on him. He absolutely killed it in Justified. I thought Timothy O. weas great, but Walton stole that show from him imo.

It will fool you into thinking it's a juvenile-targeted film at first...

I spent the last month and half watching 2 episodes per night on dvd of tv series Fringe. They made 100 episodes but I just couldn't get through all the episodes of the final season 5. I'm not much of a science fiction guy and this series really tried to do too much in my opinion with the other universe, shape-shifters, observers, alternate time-lines etc... I will miss Agent Farnsworth.

I started watching that, but it didn't connect. It's on my list for a future re-try though. I remember him from that, but he didn't catch my eye like he did on Justified. I wasn't the only one; his part was supposed to be just a minor character in season 1, but he was so great, they made him into one of the leads.

I never saw X-Files but I read that Fringe was influenced by X-Files. Great characters, but it just went in a direction that I wasn't interested in following quite to the end.

I would highly recommend The Shield if you haven't seen it before. The first two seasons are available on Crackle for free right now. I started re-watching it last week and before I knew it, I had watched the whole first season. I had forgotten how good the writing and acting was. It's a large cast with many story lines and IMO one of the best "anti-hero" genre shows ever made. If you like Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy and Justified, you'll love this show.

I liked Penny Dreadful. At times it’s heavy-handed and overly literary steampunk, but , in my book, that still beats listening to street punks or cowboys hollerin’ at each other through the weekly shootout. I mean, come on, Frankenstein’s monster reciting Milton? Now that’s a little different.

I (for one anyway) liked the rebooted series a lot. It takes a lot of crazy twists and turns, and IMO has the worst ending in the history of TV shows (even worse than the Sopranos), but there is a lot to sink your teeth into and well worth repeated viewings (I've seen the entire run three times).
