No! I’m still looking for it.

I’ve just upped my IMDb rating for Banshee to 9/10 as its so good. Cast, story line etc ..

The BR’s had Banshee Origins as special features. You can probably find them on YouTube. They’re a great compliment to the show, especially if you watch them placed in order between episodes.

From what I recall, they were on the DVDs that I rented from the library.

    Least it got something.

They could restart Banshee with just Matt Servetto / Brock still playing the Sheriff. Servetto who was also in The Sopranos.

    Banshee Come Again Soon.

We just finished watching the first two seasons. I didn't like the first few episodes but when things started to go wrong, I got hooked. It's pretty crazy, far fetched but very well written, cast, acted and directed. Great fun also.

I need Banshee, Hell on Wheels and Justified back on my life, somehow.

At least we're getting a Deadwood movie, over ten years later... maybe I shouldn't complain.

Binged watch Outlander season 4, the other day. Excellent..stunning scenery. A couple of continuity errors like the missing shoes forest scene for example.

Always thought that was Vikings tv Series problem they never went to America just back and forth to England.

Fleabag? You're not offended by content or language and it's a surprisingly successful look at a vulnerable human.

Fleabag must be the most OMG show of all time. It's like The Good Ship Venus, every scene is more disgusting than the one before it.

Cardinal, the Canadian crime series. I've just finished series three, which was the best yet. Don't expect an easy ride, though.

  23. Yes, Gomorrah. Just binge watched the first three seasons over two weeks on DVDs I borrowed from the library, and I think I'm going to have to buy it (although season 4 starts this week on Sky Atlantic in the UK, and since I don't have Sky, I might wait to see if they do a four-season box set, it doesn't seem to be available on Netflix any more). Hopefully, season 4 won't suffer too much from the shock ending of season 3 (that's the best way to put that without it being a total spoiler).

It's maybe not quite as good as The Sopranos and The Wire, but it's certainly knocked my other longtime favourites Breaking Bad, The Shield and Deadwood down a place in my box set rankings. As Chazro says, it has that same great sense of location-as-character, as The Wire's west Baltimore, in this case the infamous Vele housing projects in Scampia, a suburb to the north of Naples, and you get all the messy detail and double dealing of mob life as The Sopranos... these guys make Tony's gang look like squabbling kids in kindergarten, they're so ruthless.

I also think that it is very well done. I read the book by Saviano several years ago.

You also might like the movie "Una vita tranquilla" (A quiet life) about an ex-mafioso living a new life in Germany until the past is catching up. One of the actors is the one who plays Ciro in Gomorrah.
    I couldn't find a subtitled trailer:

  25. Ciro is The Man. Even though he might just about be the evillest of all the evil so-and-sos in Gomorrah, I think I might have a bit of a man-crush on Ciro, just like I did with Stringer Bell in The Wire all those years ago. :D The episode in Bulgaria in season 3 where he achieves just a little bit of redemption was one of my favourites.

    There's a nice summary of season 3 here…
