Yeah the line that the girl said about that (I 4get what her name/title was), something like "We don't even get the simple pleasure of taking a sht" was hilarious.
There’s no better show than The Boys to break the no streaming streak with. My Amazon video account is available to log into anytime .
Seen them, good ( in my collection). Just occurred to me 2020. Twenty years into the 21st Century, believe the best shows are behind me. Breaking Bad, Lost Deadwood, Mad Men... etc..did I leave any out? A bit like 1960s/1970s music wise incredible 20 years over those two decades. 2000-2020 just could be the golden years, TV wise.. this century.
Soprano's? The Wire for sure. Six Feet Under? Rescue Me (one of my all-time faves)? Still l0ts of good ones though imo. Just off the top of my head: Fargo. Legion. The Americans. The Deuce. Better Call Saul- which, despite stemming from the BB universe and having many similarities, is also very different in some ways and is right up there with the original imo- though a lot will depend on how they end it. And a great one still developing: I think Pose does an amazing job displaying the struggles of the very bottom of society- the completely disenfranchised. And in the process shows the potential for true grace and nobility in the face of overwhelming challenges. Love it so far; we'll see if it can continue it's high quality for the duration. And there are others. I think we're still in a-the golden age. More greatness to come.
I would have included The Soprano’s..but I’d get “ it started end of the 20th Century “comments .. but as is, nice list.
50/50 chance of a Lost reboot more adult streaming only. Fat chance of me seeing it then if no media version available.
Seen them all cept Shameless ( UK/USA) I would say In order of preference.. The Sopranos Band Of Brothers The Pacific Boardwalk The Wire
Bit late for the party but just seen Twin Peaks this year. Special, enjoyed!!! Oh.. The Prisoner, not the U.S. version.
Oh yeah the original Prisoner was a great, quirky show. way ahead of its time. It was one of the first things I bought on DVD when it came out. I even have friends who have gone to "the village" multiple times on vacations. The reboot was utter crap!
Antony Starr is brilliant in The Boys. Also, very impressed with Karl Urban, his best performance yet. Ironically both NZ actors.
Portmeirion. Took our eldest granddaughter there a few years back. She was 4. She was in awe of the place. So was I and I'd been before! Very relaxing. Very novel.
Someone else may have mentioned this in the previous pages, but Counterpart - seasons one & two, are cool.
Both seasons of Narco: Mexico are super rad. It’s a fascinating true story about the modern Cartels that tie into all current drug shows like Breaking Bad.
