    :agree: The song "Guitar Heroes" from a couple years ago has five amazing flashy style-appropriating solos by itself.

    My favorite feat by him as a lead guitarist is his delicate and intricate work on "Who Knows Where the Time Goes" with Fairport Convention. It does not feature a solo so much as a duet between Sandy Denny on vocals and Thompson on electric guitar that runs through the whole song.

    Russell Smith on lead guitar. Outro solo at 3:36. The whole band are great players.

    Calvary Cross ...he does some pretty incredible versions of this in various live forms as well as the version on the Bright Lights Studio Album , not to mention 1952 Vincent... always a masterpiece
