    Thanks for the info.

Nothing about AAA, but coloured vinyl! Sheesh.

So why are there no FM Mofis? That’s another thread...

With three out of five being digitally mixed to/recorded would it matter?
For those buying this set, hopefully they use the 2011 hi-rez.

It’s a good way to fill gaps in your collection if you don’t have the vintage albums. Tusk is out of print and they didn’t bother with a standalone release of the white album when they did the boxset recently.

A 1969-1975 Box set is sorely needed!

color vinyl doesn't seem to fit with a FM release.

They did a 1969-1972 box, but the years 1973-74 need a reissue as well.

    AKA "The Best Years".

Yeah I know; Kirwan, Welsh, Green, yada yada yada and so on.

But to me they reached heights they were previosly never close to as soon as Buckingham/Nicks entered the picture. Sorry guys, but pre 1975 FM does very little for me - I almost consider it a whole other band.

Sorry you don’t dig pre-Buckingham Nicks..... but pre 1975 FM WAS several whole other bands!

I think it was a whole other band really despite having the same name. If Mick, Keith and Brian had all left the Stones but Bill and Charlie had carried on with 3 new members as The Rolling Stones, that's fairly much the situation you have with Fleetwood Mac. The Rumours line-up is certainly outstanding but equally the Boston Tea Party tapes show a band whose musical skills were of the highest order and with not an overdub in sight which is not always the case with live albums.
Fortunately we have many Fleetwood Macs to choose from.

I never could understand how anyone can think that Mystery to Me and Heroes are Hard to Find are so radically different in style from Fleetwood Mac and Rumours...?

Underrated in my opinion. The album where Lindsey finally got Stevie to stop bleating like an old sheep and actually sing again. I wonder if that is what pissed her off so much. She did a pretty good job on that country song among others. Despite her vehement protests to the contrary, Lindsey does seem to bring out the best in her.

Agreed. I happen to really like the album and Lindsey's creation of her songs.

Mastering is not good though. Very loud CD. Good songs though.

The stand alone Tusk arrived from Amazon and the hype sticker says “first time on silver vinyl”, like that’s a desirable thing Fleetwood Mac fans have been waiting for. Then the first disc has a white splodge of non-fill and a chip in it. I’d really rather they’d just do black vinyl to a decent standard. Requested a replacement.
