Always like this song. Robert Ellis Orrall had some great New Wave songs before he went country. This was his biggest New Wave hit I assume. Sorry if it was already posted.

Gets a lot of play on 80’s themed radio. Apparently most Hoffman forum guys dont listen to that crap. I was forced to at one point.
When I'm driving around with the family in the car, can't do my usual talk radio so we listen to a mix of modern hits/classic rock/easy listening. Some things do move in and out of favor. There was a period about 5 or 6 years ago when Brandy and Come and Get Your Love were on the radio every weekend like clockwork. Now it's Summer of '69 and Your Love.
As yes...the Rocky IV soundtrack. It also had Burning Heart by Survivor. I had no idea this song actually made it to #2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Good song. A few years ago I was looking through my old yearbooks. When I got to my 6th grade yearbook, I was surprised to see that about a third of the 8th graders...who got to list favorite song, food, TV show, etc...had listed Rumors. I don't remember that song being that popular.
Random fact: Hans Zimmer played and programmed every instrument and sound on this track (other than the vocal!). Evelyn Thomas: High Energy (1984)
I think Fresh is very good, but I feel it gets a lot less attention than their earlier songs like Celebration or Ladies Night
The original song doesn't get too much play these days, but it has been a sample goldmine over the past 20 years. I don't know how many times I'm listening to a song and all of the sudden the main piano riff pops up, I'm like "what again?"
Rumors was a huge hit on NYC radio at the time, at least. It even crossed over from r&b stations to pop stations. I don’t know about the rest of the country.
