Briefly, it was a mono/stereo issue with the "Everybody Loves Somebody" CD.

I have the mono version. Did they use the mono tape or was it some kind of error that caused the stereo version to be folded down?

  5. I sure hope they'll be more of the Cameo/Parkway 2 on one Cds, They started putting them out then Ace records in the Uk issued them.,.

FINALLY.....a music guy running a label instead of money guys calling the shots.

Like Crosby always said - now, music labels are run by accountants and lawyers. They wouldn't know a good song if it flew up their nose and died.

Gordon WILL be a refreshing change and have things how they SHOULD be.

This is nice news to hear amid the music news murkiness that seems to be the norm of late.

When first issued track 1 was in stereo and tracks 2-12 were in mono.

Oh, so it wasn't the "Everybody Loves Somebody" album you're talking about... it's the two-fer with "Dream With Dean," correct? In that case, I do have the remastered version. "Dream With Dean" is stereo, and "Everybody Loves Somebody" is mono, on my copy. (Though I wish I had the original "wrong" version, providing tracks 2-12 are true mono and not just folded.)

Did I read that right in that Super D owns Wounded Bird Records? If so, that cool label, which isn't quite as good as CCM was, might be going down the drain too.

The answer seems to be in the link by jrstereo

" (Collectors’ Choice still operates as a retail/catalogue concern only, having suspended its label operations.) "

Can't wait for Real Gone to start issuing stuff!

I'm hoping they put out the Shelby Flint and Connie Stevens Complete Warner Brothers Singles collections that Collectors' Choice has been sitting on.

not sure why they are issuing the dick's picks cd's. they aren't new and i don't think there's a high demand for those particular ones.

    davmar,
There's still various DP's I still don't have yet. If they issue them, I'll likely get them from him.

I'm pleased to see that the first batch of Real Gone Music's reissues are prominently featured on page 6 of the latest Collectors' Choice catalog. And I hear that the latest issue of Goldmine Magazine has an interview with Gordon Anderson.

I saw that as well! I also noticed Collectors' Choice Music is offering subscriptions to their monthly catalogs at something ridiculous (cheap) like $2 a year. That probably means the free catalogs will end soon. But I digress...

I can't wait to get my hands on the upcoming Real Gone Music Christmas releases. Here's hoping they usher in a new era in collectable, oft-overlooked, and rare and hard to find reissues of LPs on CD. I'm looking forward to forking over a lot of my hard earned money to RGM! :goodie:
