See this post, from 2015: technically speaking, what is 'fake' stereo? (Duophonic, Electronically Re-processed, etc.)*
Not on LP, I'm afraid, but both tracks are on disc 5 Frank Sinatra In Hollywood: Frank Sinatra - Frank Sinatra In Hollywood
Isn't "I Could Write a Book" the Columbia Pictures version, not the Capitol recording? (Maybe I am misremembering.)
Sinatra did not sing “Bewitched” in the film. (There is a short solo vocal from the film recording session, never released.) The version on the Pal Joey so-called “soundtrack” album is a Capitol studio recording, which may be found also in other LP/CD compilations and (in much better sound) here… Matt is correct, as usual. The FS In Hollywood box contains the film version of “I Could Write a Book” (with Trudy Erwin dubbing for Kim Novak in the ending). The Pal Joey “soundtrack” album contains the Capitol re-recording.
Happy to be of service Willie I thought that was definitely worth sharing so as many fans as possible could find it.
Good afternoon everyone. I wasn’t sure where to ask this, the “Ring-A-Ding Ding!” thread or “A Swingin’ Affair” thread but then this is quite a random question. In the song “I Won’t Dance” Frank uses the phrase “Ring-A-Ding Ding” does anyone know any other songs where Frank sings “Ring-A-Ding Ding!” (apart from the song “Ring-A-Ding Ding!” obviously) Cheers me dears.
Is this the right thread to acknowledge Frank as the best member of the Rat Pack? Haha I love me some Sammy and Dean, but I always thought Frank was the "leader of the pack" (*motorcycle reving*)? Did they keep it even and chill? I've seen more publications refer to it as " Sinatra's crew"...might that be an objective indication?
Hi @MLutthans here is a screen shot do demonstrate what I see https://up.picr.de/44188622qr.jpg Thanks for the reply.
Well I can correct with pressing key F9 which eliminats the graphics and showx text only. So problem solved.
You’ve done your homework Bob, thanks. Funny I don’t think I even saw the youtube link, so I asked Alexa to play it for me, I find it odd that I don’t have any of my music on my phone anymore (iTunes won’t download) but Alexa has access to my entire library
No “Ring-a-Ding Ding!,” but while we’re on the subject of Can-Can, here’s the other song François recorded the same day on the Fox soundstage…
I really love this performance! It’s beautifully sung, and it’s a wonderful arrangement! How did Frank know to sing only this, the best section of the song?
