New remaster! Does this mean I can finally be able to hear the album properly without having to sit with my back to the speakers? Or with the headphones on backwards? Huzzah!

But; yeah: autobuy. Of course. I wonder if the 32-page booklet will include the original cover art (which I always liked.) ZINY did. 'Meat Light' didn't.

Only 4 years late for a 40th anniversary but better than not at all. I automatically buy every Zappa release, but I'll wait for a cheaper price first.

OMG! I'm so in. Fantastic album and I've been wanting a deluxe of this one since the first MOFO. Whee!

Really? Because the 1991 Barking Pumpkin CD claims that the album was recorded in 1979 but not released until 1975. Maybe attention to detail isn't the ZFT's strong suit.

  7. ^Yes, it got released in 1979, so 40th anniversary.

Well, of all Zappa albums to get the deluxe treatment, I did not see this one coming. I’m in because of course I am, but I mean, isn’t Hot Rats turning 50 this year?

I think a Hot Rats anniversary release will happen. Ahmet is coauthoring a book about the album, Dweezil is doing a tour playing the album.

A friend of mine spoke to Mike Keneally recently who confirmed a HR's deluxe is indeed on the way & is fantastic.

I take it the Amazon price of $27 is lower than the price folks were complaining about up thread or do we have some serious cheapskates here?

True ‘nuf! But you also know some of the people on this forum think all multi-CD sets should be between $2-$5 per disc. :D
