Free YouTube Movies Worth Watching

A doc on Tower Records that started out in California, and spread across everywhere in the states, but ultimately having to close its doors.

 

If you enjoy westerns, Lawman, is a pretty good one. It's also one I had not seen, which is always a welcome surprise. Burt Lancaster plays the avenging lawman.

 

Man, I miss Tower Records here in NYC. Nothing really took its place. Thanks.

 

The title character only makes an appearance in the last few minutes of the movie..

VHS quality only adds to the 1980 ambience..

 

Partly joking. Hook's Mr. T came a decade before the A-Team star.

 

Standing In The Shadows of Motown (2002, Paul Justman)
Documentary about the Funk Brothers, a group of Detroit musicians who backed up dozens of Motown artists.
I know the story but haven't seen the movie. Should be fun.

 

It’s not all great but if you are a fan of John Astin there are several laugh out loud moments in Evil Roy Slade, and it’s available in full on YouTube.

A drama movie which won 5 academy awards including best picture, best director and best cinematography.

Comic Book Superheroes Unmasked (2003, Steve Kroopnick)
I've never been a serious comic book (or graphic novel) reader but Keith David's narration in this doc made a viewing irresistible.

 

Muhammad Ali: Episode 1: The Greatest (2021, Ken Burns)
Not sure how long PBS will keep the full eps up. I'll try to watch em as they post. A DVR recording (for later viewing) is probably the better way to go if you're still hooked up.
