Fantastic Planet--On the planet Ygam, the Draags, extremely technologically and spiritually advanced blue humanoids, consider the tiny Oms, human beings descendants of Terra's inhabitants, as ignorant animals. Those who live in slavery are treated as simple pets and used to entertain Draag children; those who live hidden in the hostile wilderness of the planet are periodically hunted and ruthlessly slaughtered as if they were vermin.

The Gospel According To Andre (2017, Kate Novack)
This intimate portrait for André Leon Tally, a fixture in the world of fashion, takes viewers on a journey from André’s roots growing up to becoming one of the most influential tastemakers and fashion curators of our times.
New one. Probably a 30 day window. Most fascinating in its look at Andre's roots in the American South.

    Karnak "81, 82, 83, 84..."

I remember this from the mid 80s, when I was going to school in the US. It was on cable as videotape had not made much of an impact yet. Was not able to really view it until a few years ago. My friends then seemed to prefer the TV drama 'The Day After'. To my recollection, it was contemporaneous with 'When The Wind Blows'-the animated Raymond Briggs film but I could be mistaken.

Here's what the book looked like of When The Wind Blows. I have a copy of the book by Briggs, however, the one I have is like a children's book, and has comic panels, but I wouldn't call it a comic. Perhaps I'm splitting hairs.

This documentary charts the colorful history of Bizarre and Straight, the two record labels created by Frank Zappa in 1968 in order to get himself out of the unfavorable contract he had signed with his label up to that point. Such famous names as Lord Buckley, Tim Buckley, Alice Cooper, and Captain Beefheart would make the label a successful artistic endeavor. The filmmakers interview a number of peole who recorded for or worked at the labels including Pamela Des Barres and Kim Fowley, as well as a handful of rock critics who provide historical perspective on the events discussed.
