    Not mine. Seller just says "made in Japan". Maybe a Japan target?

    The only Abacab target was made in West Germany.

    The only Atlantic targets pressed in Japan are a select few 32XD discs released in Japan.

    For the price you got a good deal. Any Japan CD is worth that much. It may be the same mastering as the Japan first pressing.

    The hard truth::D;)

    Chances are more than likely that this is an Atlantic silver-faced CD pressed in Japan for U.S. (Charisma had the rights in Japan, so...)

    If it's a Virgin/Charisma/Black Triangle(different mastering, and preferred) I would be very surprised.

    Don't know if it's the same CD you have but I'm almost positive my US and Japanese CDs are digitally identical (which, no doubt, means the Japanese CD will be touted as superior). Someone will correct this if I'm incorrect with my correctness.

    Indeed, the Japan for U.S., and U.S. made CD's should be the same(and both derivatives of the *early* West German Target and Vertigo/Polygram/Charisma etc. 800 xxx xx series matrix CD's.

    Thanks. I understand that there is likely to be some differences due to pressing, but I get that they are the same mastering. :)

  13. My bought in 1985 pressing of Abacab made by Victor/JVC is great. Good deal...

    Now, find one of the UK Virgin/Charisma CD's, to hear how good this album can sound in digital.:agree:

    They're both excellent. I tend to like their 1976-1982 era more than the earlier stuff.

    We should start a club. :righton:

    BTW, what's the best mastering of S/T? I have an early WEA SRC copy.

    Again, the Virgin/Charisma (later UK Nimbus, or Swindon press) is the goods, on this one. The sound opens up, so much more. The difference is pretty astounding on these two albums, compared to those Atlantic CD's.

    I'll post a little clip from each one, tell me what you think.
