I'd put this right up near the top of the super funky groove list:

 

The entirety of the Average White Band album on Atlantic. The band was hot and intact. Then the tragedy of losing their friend and drummer to an accidental overdose after a show at the Troubadour celebrating the albums release. He thought it was coke. It was heroin. killed Robbie and almost killed Alan Gorie. Cher saved his life.
While they soldiered on they never had the same feel as that near perfect album.

Above Average Band. Period.

Yeah, I had never seen the video before I don't think. If I had, any memory of it was long gone.

 

Queen - Dragon Attack / just a notch under the big hit IMO.
