    The entirety of the Average White Band album on Atlantic. The band was hot and intact. Then the tragedy of losing their friend and drummer to an accidental overdose after a show at the Troubadour celebrating the albums release. He thought it was coke. It was heroin. killed Robbie and almost killed Alan Gorie. Cher saved his life.
    While they soldiered on they never had the same feel as that near perfect album.

    Above Average Band. Period.

    Little known in the US, Norwegian band Titanic had a British singer/lyricist. This one does not let up:

    They also had other records that were in the same funky ballpark look for Sultana and Rain 2000 -- Turn it up!
