Funniest thing you ever saw on The Simpsons

In an episode of Simpsons re-interpreting Greek mythology, Ned Flanders as a Trojan soldier said the line, "In the future, when people get wood, they'll think of Trojans". I still wonder how that got past the Fox network censors. The "Who Shot Mr. Burns" episode absolutely remains the funniest 23 minutes to me.

 

So many things but one that comes to mind is the 21 t-shirt gun salute for Maude Flanders after she died and the shirt looked like this:
