    That ep. is AWESOME!
AND, using the music from "Run Lola Run"...the icing on the cake!

I remember the morning after this episode aired. I arrived at work, saw my co-worker and fellow film buff, and we both said simultaneously, "Did you see 'Worker and Parasite'?" It looks just like those obscure animated shorts from Eastern European countries that you might catch at a film festival — possibly brilliant, and mostly incomprehensible. My co-worker and I were just amazed that the Simpsons creative team would put that gag in, knowing that only a relatively small percentage of their audience would fully appreciate it.

I was never sure if I got this joke. Was it just that he pressed so many numbers or was it a song I didn't recognize?

"W&P" might be my pick for this thread.

It wasn't as funny to me on subsequent viewings, but when I first saw it, I laughed for like five minutes afterward!

Pretty sure it's just the amount of numbers required for the overseas call.

If there's any other "layer" to the gag, I've spent the past 23 years not getting it! :p

I think Homer's complete disregard is what cracks me up. Homer, a true hero for times like these … because he keeps you laughing. :righton:

Not only the cartoon, but then Krusty’s reaction afterwards sent it over the top.

These were the years when it almost hurt to watch the Simpsons from laughing.

There's a theory in comedy where when something lasts too long, it get annoying, but, then, a few seconds later, it becomes even funnier!
This happens quite often on "Family Guy"!

Marge throws Homer out. The kids run into him at their mailbox:

    Homer: Well, I'd better go.

    Lisa: Where are you staying?

Homer: You know the Four Seasons? Well, I'm experiencing them first hand because I'm living in the park.

I have gotten out of the habit of watching the Simpsons, it was getting old to me. For some reason I recorded last Sundays episode and watched it yesterday. It was good. Reverend Lovejoy is being one-upped by a new hipster preacher, to the point the congregation wants him out. The church elders visit him in his office and ask him to turn in his crucifix. He takes the cross from around his neck and hands it to one of the elders, who says sternly, "Timothy." Lovejoy hikes his pant legs up and removes a hidden cross in an ankle holster and turns it in also. That **** was funny.

The Fate of Shary Bobbins. I remember seeing this when it first aired (I was only 9) and I started laughing like crazy.

It’s early in the clip and a build up from a gag that ran the whole episode. It’s not Hank Scorpio, but I laughed pretty hard at it.

    Patti tells Marge she's gay:

Marge: So, Patty, you're a woman who likes women. Guess that fear I always had about you stealing Homer away was unfounded.

Homer & Patty both do a spit take.

Homer: Marge, I'd be a lot more worried about me leaving you for a sausage patty than your sister Patti.

Homer & Marge are about to go over Niagra Falls in a bounce house. A boat from the US & Canada both come out to save them.

US: Back off Canadians! We got 'em!

Canada: You back off hosers! They're in Canadian waters, eh?

US: Beat it ya puck slapping maple suckers!

Canada: Take hike you Shatner-stealing Mexico-touchers!

It’s probably already been mentioned, but I love the episode where Ralph gets up on his tip toes and goes through the saloon doors into the adult video section and exclaims, “Everybody’s hugging!”.
