The way they do a crazy, angular 'push-in' on Marge while she's doing it.....just makes it!

I've only seen one episode, and that was at a friend's house. One of the characters (besides Bart, I don't know their names) had a new baby brother who was about to be circumcised. They boys were freaking out because they thought it meant to cut off everything! That was fairly funny, but I don't like animated shows, so I didn't watch it on my own.

I think that was South Park, not The Simpsons.

Oh, yeah, probably. Sorry! Like I said, I almost never watch animated shows. My friend likes both South Park and The Simpsons, so it's easy for me to confuse them! Not to mention that was at least 20 years ago.

    That's unfortunate....
There WAS a 'golden age' for animated tv and movies, from 1990 to 2010 that rivaled the original golden-age of classic 'shorts' from the 30's to 50's!

I feel the same way about animated films. But animated TV is a different kettle of fish.

Here is something random. The time The Simpsons were on Sesame Street

I'm not going to go through 32 pages to see if this has been posted already. If it has, it deserves a second. The Incredible Hulk Melon Baller.

Many of Homer's quotes are words that I live by, especially these two:

"If you don't like your job, you don't strike... you just go in every day and do it really half-assed!"

"You tried and you failed miserably. The moral of the story? Never try."

Having the church sing "In The Garden Of Eden"(In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida); "Wait a minute, this sounds suspiciouslylike rock/ad/or/roll"

Which leads to one of the all-time best "funny because it's true" moments....

Milhouse: "Why would they tell people there's such a thing as a soul? What would they have to gain?"

(Cut to Reverend Lovejoy pouring the collection money into a coin counter).

Wonder why they didn't use a bill counter instead of the coin counter. Would've driven the point home even more strongly.

Maybe it shows how much the people giving feel about the gain of the soul; they believe it as much as Bart by giving change.

Assuming Mr. Sparkle is supposed be saying "Power Clean!", I think there's at least one mistake in the speech bubble, maybe 2. And possibly another the way they spelled "Sparkle" in katakana at the top. Is that supposed to be part of the joke?

There are probably many parts to this whole joke and the advertisement they watch that I don't fully understand. Even that is part of the joke: that so much of the video is incomprehensible to those who aren't Japanese or understand that culture.

I think it was a scene where Homer puts on a pair of shorts that have a Walmart style happy face printed on the rear. The happy face turns unhappy as he pulls them up.

I think it's probably just that the rattling of all the coins is much louder than a bill counter, to set up Lovejoy's line "I don't hear scrubbing!" ;)

One of the Halloween specials, had Burns put a brain and spine combo on top of his head and said "Look at me, I'm Davy Crockett".

Having the city from which I graduated high school, East St Louis, IL, pass Springfield as the worst city in America!
Another was finding out June Cleaver was an alumni of the same school and sang the school song on LITB!!!
