Grant Life is a rock, but the radio rolled me!

I think I saw one at a Zia in Tucson a few weeks ago.

I'd suggest going back and getting it. I've checked EVERYWHERE online...they be gone.

When Audio Fidelity announced the release of gold CDs years ago, I vowed to get them as they were released. I wasn't going to make the same mistake I made years ago when I passed on a lot of DCC gold CDs. Buying DCC discs once they had gone out of print was obviously a rather expensive proposition.

  6. If you haven't bought 'Straight Shooter' yet, you better try and do so right away. I don't know if it's officially retired yet, but once it is...well, you know how the story goes.

This proves that they don't necessarily press all 5000 copies at once.

When they say re-press it probably doesn't mean they have gone beyond 5000, I'd wager they are pressing numbers 2501 -> 5000 (for example).

    ***Edit

Just read the whole thread...Rockman's post #99 says it better

Those used to be the discounts but now it's 20% for Gold and 25% for Platinum.

So I'm paying $19.99 for most discs, unless they have a higher MSRP.
Not that much more than Amazon etc. and I have the convenience of them simply showing up on my door step without worrying about quick sell-outs.
I'll admit the shipping to Canada is a bit on the high side but at least they're very well packed in a cardboard box, not those dodgy padded envelopes.
