FOTD was a grower for me, more so after I found the original EPIC CD which sounds better than the remaster I have.

The Who sold out, right? They even called their album The Who Sell Out.

I wish more bands would sell out if it resulted in albums as good as THAT one.

While I still enjoyed a lot of the older bands' music, I zoned out of rock by the end of the Eighties too. Didn't get back on the bus until the mid 2000s when the (then) current prog scene dragged me back in.

However, since the I've discovered some very good stuff I missed out on including a lot of hair metal, funnily enough, although I'm still not keen on a lot of the Nineties rock scene (grunge, nu-metal, Brit rock etc) or the dance music/hip hop that dominated the period.

After the first three Journey albums, I was out of there. Thank God.

This is a Genesis thread, not a Yes thread….:D

Similarly for actors, would anyone call Jeremy Irons a sellout for doing a voice in a Disney flick? Was Steve Martin a sellout for performing in Las Vegas? (Said he did it just to pay the rent.) Guys got to work. I've also heard sellouts called whores. Not applicable.
