George Strait - Honkytonkville

I have to say this is one of the best albums of his career. I have been listening to George for over 20 years now and have every album that he has made and I feel that this is the best collection of songs I have heard from him yet. The music is great and his vocals sound better than ever. A very good mix from Hank Williams.
In this day and age when country music is not country but watered down pop, it is nice to hear a straight forward country album. This is the first time George has released a new collection with more than 10 songs on it so the 12 tracks here flow very nicely and are very easy on the ears.
I have to say this is a must have for any fan of country music or of George. You will not be disappointed.

 

I bought this on Tuesday but have yet to listen to it -- can't wait. If it's as good as, "Does Fort Worth Cross Your Mind," and "Clear Blue Sky," I will be very pleasantly surprised. In his vast catalog, I think those are his two best albums.
