Although Amelia and Rob still record under the name the Catenary Wires, and Peter Momtchiloff recently recorded with Tufthunter, so they haven't given up music entirely.

I was in high school about the same time. African-American friend came up to me one day and told me that Joe English had played his church the night before.

  4. Possibly already mentioned but I believe Rick Buckler from The Jam now restores furniture or certainly something in that field.

  6. Fuzz plays drums for The Beat as well. I saw him recently at Caerphilly Castle. They were doing a show with The Selector. This was Rankin Rogers version of The Beat. I know Dave Wakelin also tours his version of The Beat as well. So Fuzz certainly seems to be a very busy fella.

Hey Jeopardy fans - the reigning champion is Jackie Fox of the Runaways! Competing under her real name of Jackie Fuchs, she told Alex Trebek today about her former gig. She is one sharp cookie on the show, but with an honors degree from UCLA and a Harvard law degree what else would you expect?

If we include soul / R & B, Arthur Alexander drove a bus for many years before he passed away at age 53 in 1993.

Probably already mentioned, but since we’re talking about getting a haircut and a real job, Roy Buchanan went to barber school!

Another one that may have already been mentioned, Neal Smith, the way cool original drummer for Alice Cooper, is a (presumably) way cool Realtor :agree:

Probably 99% of metal musicians. I was always surprised growing up how many of the guys in relatively 'big' bands for their scene were also doing music lessons, manual labor, retail, etc.

A friend of mine ran into Vinnie Appice and Vinnie told him a story about getting hired by Verizon in the nineties because Grunge all but killed his career here in America. They gave him free reign to take time off to gig internationally.
