From what Dean wrote Ace are obviously in the same boat as other labels and not able to get a firm date from the pressing plant, I'm sure Dean will let us know when he has something firm. I know of labels who have had their pressing runs bounced back three times and heard of plants quoting 12 months turnaround on vinyl, trying to get records pressed had never been more difficult.

I assume this won't be particularly limited, but try going on the Ace site and sign up for their email, plus keep watching this thread and you should be okay.

Hello again, is there an update of where we are at now? Maybe you aren't allowed to let out any details but i'd be curious if you can!

Hello, we're currently in a bit of a production nightmare.
Hoping to get that sorted this week.
Once that is done we'll get a better idea of when we will be able to release this

    I just approved Test Pressings.
So an actual time-line might appear soon

I literally cannot wait for this release. The fact that you are doing such an important release and putting so much care in it being all analogue and potentially 45rpm is amazing. Never thought I'd see anything other than generic digital reissues

Thanks, and it is definitely 45RPM
However there's never been a generic digital reissue of this.
The previous reissue we did was from 24/96 fresh transfer of the master and sounded better than any of the original issues of the record.

You know what, I have no idea how many TPs Ace order (I should do).
My two are safely on a shelf, in case anything goes wrong with the pressing and I need to compare.

I'm not 100% sure, but as they did others I'd assume so.

It's always puzzled me why major labels licensed them this stuff when they knew what was going to happen.
They were still doing the FD comp a couple of years back when we had to pull them up about it.

Well put me down for a TP if there's one going Dean! (sorry I know this is cheeky, but if you don't ask.....)

And thanks again for the update. Appreciate you must be really busy, thanks for making the time to respond.

  19. Pieces of A Man is such a great album. I only have it on the box set. I want the 45 rpm vinyl treatment.

This is going to be great! Thanks for keeping us up to date here - I’ll watch like a hawk, can’t miss this one.

I got excited when I saw it in the Ace store but I assume that’s the 2014 for now so I’ll stay patient.
