I think Wilma and Fred hired Lola Bridgida as a housekeeper and cook. Fred loved her food and sang that song in the shower. It was the first thing I remembered when I heard she passed away. I think someone tried to post the scene, but it must have been pulled or isn't available in the US. RIP
So today I read an obit in the paper about Gina L. Always remembered her from Beat The Devil and those references in the Flinstones. But more that that its the song Lollobrigida by Cinerama, it has been going through my head all day. This is a band formed by David Gedge, more famous for his work with the Wedding Present. The song Lollobrigida is from their first album, Disco Volante (HA!). Anyway, I've always loved this song:
I thought the same thing, so i looked up her filmography... turns out I've seen 3 of her movies: Beat the Devil (1953), Never So Few (1959), and Death Laid an Egg (1968)... none of which I remember much about.
