A wonderful drummer if on occasion a somewhat troubled human being. Get well soon, Ginger.

Hopefully he'll hit the illness in the nose with his cane and be up and around again soon.

I have never seen the comments pile up as quickly on FB, as they are for Ginger. From zero to 259 in 17 min. ?

Sadly, this is going to be more and more common as these legacy artists head into their late-70’s and 80’s, particularly considering how hard some of them lived.

I can not overstate how little I'm looking forward to watching the greats of classic rock die off during my lifetime (I'm 48).

It'd have to be a brave reaper to confront Mr. Baker. I hope he fights as hard as he's always done. We can't afford to lose a one-off like Ginger.

I thought he was living on borrowed time when he was in the documentary 7 years ago. Amazed he's made it this long.

Hope he gets well soon. Warts and all, I love the guy and he’s probably my favorite member of Cream.

They're not dying, they're just retiring. Going on a well earned break from performance and music-making and we may not hear anything else from them again, but they sure leave behind many recorded works for the rest of us to keep celebrating them for as long as we hang around.
